Our first delivery of thermal image scope
Thermal image scopes are in a huge demand in Ukrainian army. Because their prices are so high, government just can’t afford to well-equip Ukrainian army with these devices. These devices are so important because they do save soldiers lives and are the key in night time combats.
We are proud to announce that we have purchased and delivered our first thermal image scope. Special thank you to Taras S for financial support. The price of this scope is $3,000 which is twice more than average cost. The reason is, it has a good range (900 meters) and could be attached to rifle scope:

From the very beginning when we started this web site, back in 2014, we decided that we’ll be focusing on helping Ukrainian soldiers. Those who are fighting at front line risking their lives every minute. So was it…
Recently I got a call from my my good friend. She was asking if we could get a prescription medicine named Levothyroxine. Many people of Kharkiv who suffer from hypothyroidism, enlarged thyroid gland and thyroid cancer can’t live without this vital medicine. We have found a source of this medicine in Romania and ordered via our friend $195 in total.
We’re happy to report that it’s delivered in Kharkiv to those in need:

You might be wondering why we couldn’t send it in one batch. For theses 3 reasons:
- People need it really badly. Many having their lives dependent on it.
- Second reason is it’s better to ship using multiple channels because there is no guarantee it will be delivered. Volunteers who deliver are risking their lives as much as soldiers and no one knows what could happen when they drive through dangerous areas.
- It very hard to find this medicine these days. Our friend in Romania is literally on hunt for it. He visits like 20 pharmacies a day buying all they have in stock (3-5 items per pharmacy).
We are really happy with outcome. The so much needed medicine is delivered and we have established a supply channel from pharmacies in Romania right to those in need in Kharkiv!

Camouflage equipment we shipped
Beside medical equipment we shipped, we also shipped camouflage equipment. Here is a break down:
Tactical Chest Rigs
These things are more convenient than tactical vests, although they are more expensive. Why? Because chest rigs in spite of what it’s called are keeping all ammunition at the waist level which significantly eases pressure on the lower back. Plus they are more convenient to crawl with. We shipped 2 of such chest rigs, along with mag pouches and utility pouches just to our friends who are at very front line. $306.69 in total:
Tactical Vests
These ones are similar to chest rigs, but the whole weight comes to the chest and not on the waist. These vests work for the guys who are in territorial defense, since they don’t have to be that mobile, crawl, etc. We order 10 of those, totaling $250 just for our friends who are serving in territorial defense of Kiev:
Camouflage Jacket
Our very close friend requested this jacket. They key is to have it multi-seasonal. So that you can detach a lining if it’s too hot, or attach it when it gets colder. Not a problem. Thanks God US army has plenty of those. The price was $64.95 on eBay:
Military boots
Again, our very close friend asked for good quality military shoes. When we were doing a research we found a descent ones that are being used by US army, but in desert. These don’t work for Ukraine. They do need very tough ones. We made a research, running by our friend and came up with the ones below. We order 2 pairs for $225.99 in total:
Medical help we shipped today
Today we finally shipped everything we have purchased so far in the US for Ukrainian soldiers. This post will be focusing on the medical related items we shipped with a short description.
Tourniquets
To be honest with you, we were not aware of what tourniquet is until this whole madness started. We don’t know why the need for this critical item didn’t come up back in 2014, must be because the volume of wounding was much lower than now. In short, tourniquet is a medical device used to affectively prevent bleeding from open wound. Here is an example of how it’s applied so you understand:
One important thing about tourniquet is that it can be applied with one hand (in case the other hand is disabled). So, every soldier can have it to his own possession and apply when needed. Believe it or not Ukrainian army wouldn’t even have this vital device. So the demand is huge now taking into account a scale of the war. We have purchased same type of tourniquets but in two colors. The one that is shown above – 30 pieces. They come with scissors. The total cost was $199.57:
But then we found a good deal on black ones and ordered 185 pieces for $937.84 in total:
Celox
Celox is like a powder that is being used to stop the bleeding. We ordered 12 pieces for $194.28 in total:
First Aid Kits
And finally we ordered 5 pieces of first aid kits for$186.12 in total. These ones will go directly to our close friends who are fighting at front lines right now. These kits have everything needed including: Tactical Molle Pouch, Conforming Stretch Gauze, Sterile Lubricating Jelly, Povidone Iodine, CPR Mask, Surgical Sutures, Sterile Water, Water Purification Tablets, Lubricating Jelly and ABD Pad:

Catching up on what we’re up to…
It’s our first post here since the war had started. All these time we were collecting donations from our friends and colleges. Thank you all who donated. We raised over $4,800. We were also in constant contact with our friends at front line and with local volunteers. I’m happy to report that the first container is about to be shipped.

Besides ordering all of the above, we have also deposited $1,200 to soldiers bank accounts. You might be wondering why soldiers need cash. It depends. Some of our friends need just spare cash to buy food and cigarets. Others need to buy a gas to do their job. The demand is so big that some times they use their own money to get what they need. Plus the prices had sky rocketed.

Donations Went Down but We Still Delivering
The war calmed down in Easter Ukraine for the past few months. People seem to be take this for granted and assume that this is the end of the war. But it’s too early to think this way. Ukrainian army faces Russia-backed Sabotage and Reconnaissance Groups every day. And every day Ukrainian soldiers get wounded or killed. Besides that, reconnaissance data confirms gathering of heavy weapons and military equipment close to the border on “LNR” and “DNR” side.
Donations went down obviously but we still deliver packages to help Ukrainian Army to protect their territory and be ready to prevent another round of aggression. With this package we delivered the following items:
– 1 Baofeng UV-5R Plus radio
– 1 car video recorder
– 20 packs of oatmeal
– 3 boxes of soups
– one pack of spices
– one box of sunflower oil
– 1 box of candies (5 kilos)
– 1 box of toilet paper

Package delivered to “Marusin Military Ground” – Training camp of “Right Sektor”
“Marusin Military Ground” – Training camp of “Right Sektor”
This video shows the military ground of 11th territorial defense battalion of Ukraine. Our organization is helping this battalion since December 2014. Below the video you can read its transcript.
To find out what exactly you can learn at the military training the crew of “The Sekryetnye Materialy” “Secret Footage” decided to participate in an experiment and sign up as volunteers for such training.
Here at the Marusin military ground volunteers are willing to teach anyone who would like to be useful to their country.
Combat training instructor goes by “Hobgoblin”
“Here at the Marusin military ground we teach the civilians the elementary use of arms.”
Graduates of this type of training state that several days of such practice are significantly more valuable than a month of training at the Ministry of Defense military grounds.
Today in our schedule there are lessons on the combat tactics, medical training, obstacle course, and tactical marksmanship.
Right after the formation we are not wasting any time and jump straight into learning the tactics of combat.
First we are getting instructed on change of combat positions.
The instructor
“If there is an order “On the right” for example. We don’t get up, we take AK then we roll back onto our left shoulder, keeping our legs spread on the ground with the right leg on top for better stability and to avoid involuntary rocking, then we point our weapon to the right. It is important not to lift your right knee like so, as it gets exposed.”
Then we get our first combat assignment – we work as a group.

“Contact to the right. Contact to the left. Center yourself as you laying down”
We imitate the movement of our unit.

“Captain, there is a land mine ahead”

The result of the tactical medical training our reporter got to experience herself. According to the legend, she was dangerously wounded in combat. She required medical help and urgent evacuation from the battlefield.

“Let’s continue. For example, we have a wound here. We ran out of saline solution. Here’s what we do.”
After the medical training newcomers get familiarized with weaponry and gun safety rules, which everyone who attended this training at least once knows.

“The rules of gun safety. (inaudible) number two. What is the rule of gun safety number one?”
Female trainee
“Treat every weapon as military grade and assume that it’s loaded.”
Instructor
“Correct. Rule number two?”
Female trainee
“Do not point the gun in any direction you are not going to shoot.”

“Rule number three?”

“Finger on the trigger only at the moment of shooting.”
“Rule number four?”

“Stay situationally aware of what’s in front and behind of your target.”
After the rules were learnt, we start familiarizing ourselves with AK47. First assembly and disassembly.
Instructor
“Why do we learn assembly and disassembly? If some was to happen to you AK. For example, we were shooting. Click, click — nothing is happening. We check — magazine is not empty. Click, click – still nothing. We need to know what to do with it.”
Then there was the most interesting part — an obstacle course. Trenches, assault course, barbed wire, tons of ladders, manholes and hand grenade throwing. All of this requires huge strength and stamina. When there was nothing left – tactical shooting was the concluding part of the training.

“Bend your leg a little in the knee. The other one is straight. Lean the torso forward, the chest is in front of your gut and raise you weapon.”
Today our visit is coming to an end. We have gained more skills now than after some of the Armed Forces’ military grounds training.
Meanwhile the mighty state official apparatus reports that the Army is properly prepared, and the casualties are minimal.

“You see, the Army is a huge cesspool. The War budget is a huge cesspool. Our government is used to profiteer off that budget. They actively milk it.”
That’s why the financing of the military is the second thought after the diversion of funds. Also, that’s the reason for poor industrial infrastructure and military training in deployed personnel, as well as a very high number of casualties.
In general our military experts graded Ukrainian military training as unsatisfactory.
